Why do I have a block or forfeiture on my registration or license?

This will happen if you failed to appear for a “must appear” hearing or if you did not pay a waivable ticket on time. This can also occur if a balance of fines owed on a case was sent to collections, in which case the balance will need to be paid in full in order to release the block/forfeiture.

When is my court date?

You can find your court date/time by searching our online docket here. Please enter your name or case number into the case search. Once your case appears on screen, navigate to the “events” section to see the date and time of your court date.

I missed my court date, can I reschedule?

You will need to file a motion requesting a new court date. A motion is a letter to the Judge or Magistrate making a specific request. You can file a motion in person, by fax, or mail.

Was my payment received from collections yet?

It takes seven to ten business days for the court to receive payments made to collections. The court does not accept confirmation receipts as proof of payment.

How do I pay my fine if it is with the Ohio Attorney General?

You can pay fines sent to The Ohio Attorney General on their website or by phone.
