Ohio Attorney General

If you are unable to locate your case fines online through our payment portal, your case may have been sent to collections for the following reasons:
Failure to Appear
Failure to pay fines in full
Failure to pay fines on a payment plan
Lack of payment can result in registration block or license forfeiture and outstanding balances may be sent to The Ohio Attorney General (AGO) for collection.
Under Ohio law, state agencies turn over their outstanding accounts to the Attorney General’s office for collection. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has the authority by law to collect debt owed to the state.  The Collections Enforcement Section is responsible for collecting outstanding debt owed to the State of Ohio for state agencies, institutions, boards, commissions, public university and hospitals, and local government entities.
Once payment has been made in full to the AGO, it may take up to ten business days for the court to receive payments made to collections. The court does not accept confirmation receipts as proof of payment, license forfeiture or registration blocks will only be removed once funds are received directly from AGO.
You may access the AGO’s on-line payment system 24/7 or contact Collections Enforcement Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 888-301-8885.
You can use this site to safely and confidentially pay outstanding obligations that have been certified to the Attorney General’s office HERE.
