How to Contest a Camera Citation
Request a Hearing
You may contest the traffic camera ticket by filing a Request for Hearing with the Clerk of Court within 30 days after the date of issuance of the ticket. A Request for Hearing can be filed:
- by US Mail,
- by faxing to 440-953-4149, or
- in person at the Clerk’s Window during normal business hours.
A filing fee of $25.00, as stated in the Court’s cost schedule, will be assessed to the case. The non-prevailing party will be required to pay this cost upon conclusion of the case.

Traffic camera violations are governed by Ohio Revised Code Sections 4511.092 through 4511.099.
