Wedding Information

The Willoughby Municipal Court encourages you to have your wedding ceremony performed at our new courthouse located at 4000 Erie Street in Willoughby, Ohio. The ceremony may be conducted in one of our courtrooms or, at your election, may be conducted in the beautiful Rotary Park on the courthouse grounds.

Scheduling:
You’ll need to schedule the ceremony in advance by calling our Court Administrator at 440-953-4163 to choose a date and time for your wedding.

Requirements:
You must have a valid marriage license, photo identification and pay a court cost of $50.00 on the day of the ceremony. Marriage licenses are issued through the Lake County Probate Court and you may call them at (440)350-2168 for their requirements.

Ceremony:
On the day of your wedding you should come to the courthouse and check in at the Civil Department window about 20 minutes prior your scheduled ceremony time. Be sure to bring your marriage license/certificates, valid photo identntification for both parties and the court cost of $50.00, which may be cash or a check. We do allow guests and photographs during the ceremony, at your discretion.
